Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde Sets Date for Highly Anticipated Directorial Debut ‘Mother’s Love’

Nollywood icon, Omotola Jalade-Ekehinde stepped away from the frontend of the camera to the director’s chair for the first time after three decade in her new movie, ‘Mother’s Love.’

Sharing the news excitedly, the actor turn director announced May 2 as the day the movie hits the cinema. She made this announcement at an exclusive film exhibition hosted by Nile Media Entertainment.

Speaking about her film, Mother’s Love, she noted that “It’s been 30 years of acting for me. Mother’s Love is from my own personal experience and I can’t wait to share it.’

The movie centers around a young woman breaking free from her privileged upbringing and discovering her own purpose and passion during her NYSC experience.

Mother’s Love tells an inspiring story of Omotola Jalade-Ekehinde’s resilience, passion, childhood, road to fame, family struggle and her mother’s limitless love.

The movie is one of the nine projects recently unveiled by Nile Entertainment led by Moses Babatope. Like Omotola, veteran actor, Richard Mofe-Damijo takes the role of producer in his film project entitled Radio Voice.

Managing Director of Nile Media Entertainment, Nowe Isibor Segun-Ojo, noted, “A lot of them have caught the creative bug, and they have chosen Nile to be the conduit of their creative voice.”
