In a bid to equip participants with essential skills to elevate their careers in the competitive music industry, the French Embassy in Nigeria has announced an enviable initiative to modulate the country’s distinctive music space with the launch of a five-day Amplify Bootcamps, targeting emerging musical artists and their managers.
The life-changing program is slated to hold in Abuja, Nigeria’s Federal Capital Territory, from March 24th to 28th and in Lagos from April 7th to 11th.
The groundbreaking bootcamp is part of the broader Creation Africa Fund, an initiative spearheaded by the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs will provide a comprehensive curriculum, covering storytelling and pitching, legal aspects of the music industry, artistic communication, social media strategies, and career planning.
Participants will also explore concepts like artistic identity, gaining insights from some of Nigeria’s top music industry experts.
Described as a “timeless moment of reflection,” the Amplify Bootcamps promise a unique and inspiring environment where artists and managers can refine their projects. By the end of the program, attendees will walk away with a professionally crafted Electronic Press Kit (EPK) and a tailored career and communication plan, ready to take their talents to the next level.
“The aim is to give beneficiaries all the keys and skills they need to leverage their capacities and build sustainable careers,” a spokesperson from the French Embassy said. “This is about empowering Nigeria’s next generation of musical stars and fostering a thriving cultural industry.”
The initiative highlights France’s commitment to supporting African creativity and cultural industries through eventful and targeted programs. With Nigeria’s music scene continuing to gain global recognition, the Amplify Bootcamps are placed to play a pivotal role in nurturing local talent and amplifying their voices on the world stage.
